who ever notice the snow?
I live in warm south of China, and seldom see snow. I don't know the snow I have seen is pure or dirty. but scientists at UC Irvine say dirty snow is another culprit except greenhouse gases.
after reading their press, I think it's actually a very simple physics theory. why nobody noticed before? however, the soot mixed in snow is still the product of fuels we are using. maybe this finding will foster alternative energy business again!
I don't know whether chinese scientists or policy makers have read this press. at present, coal is still the main energy source in china. I believe snow will be far more dirty in china. when winter comes, I hope someone in north china can take some snow photos and let's judge together.
