   several months ago, I have said iPhone is not the exact revolutionary mobile phone. now iPhone is already in consumer's hands. I still insist this opinion. evolution? iPhone does! revolution? not yet!

   platform based on Safari web browser is recognized as a symbol of revolution. but comparing to install real program on symbian OS in Nokia and other smart phone, which is more valuable for users and developers? some apple fans will question me: web browser platform brings social networking utility. OK, let us see an example: Digg has developed a widget for iPhone. but who can tell me what is the real difference to directly view Digg website using browser with using this widget? not at all, I think!

   as for other so called features like WIFI, multi-touch screen, youtube, google map, etc, which is brand new technology or technology no one used before? iphone only is a good mashup product.

   however, technology review tells us Apple has taken same smart job as WII. they integrate some interesting sensors in iPhone: 

…..an accelerometer, an ambient light sensor, and an infrared sensor–that are able to pick up cues from the environment and adjust the phone's functions accordingly. Apple has decided to use these sensors for detecting when to convert the screen view from portrait to landscape, for adjusting the brightness of the screen based on the brightness of the environment, and for disabling the touch screen when a person holds the phone to her ear….

   that's the only thing I appreciate iPhone.

     Although Apple's iphone made a successful debut, LG prada will break into market earlier than iphone. it seems LG prada holds the first move advantage. maybe all the things fall into LG's strategy. but I will not be as optimistic as LG's executive.

     1) people have taken long time to wait for Apple's iphone. even if they could buy some cell phone with similiar functions as iphone in the current market, they are willing to waiting another 3 months for iphone's on sale. from this point, LG doesn't have first move advantage at all.

     2) LG prada's price is not smart. if LG prada is cheaper than iphone, its first move advantage will take effect. but it's far expensive than iphone. the brand value of prada can not defeat Apple's brand easily.

     3) personally thinking, iphone's design is still better than LG prada. LG prada didn't embody prada's culture and fashion. so regretful.

     Actually, i don't think iphone is a revolutionary product. if I plan to buy iphone, that's the good interface design not the functionality!
