   I am very curious about what future company will be like. web2.0 brings the power and wisdom of crowds into business world. open source made a revolution in software industry; and open innovation is challenging traditional company R&D mechanism. leading R&D companies like lilly, P&G, Dupont, Dow chemical etc. have used new business model to accelerate innovation. some of them turn global scientists into their virtual researchers; some of them collaborate with their suppliers and customers to brainstorm together. 

  IT is outsourced to india, china; HR is outsourced to professional HR management companies; even the core R&D allows external individual or organization to co-develop via innocentive.com, ninesigma.com etc. all of these are telling us the future company has no walls. 

  so in an open business world, what differentiates each company? talent! I think current talent pipeline will not be suitable any more. company should have vision to turn global talents into virtual employees firstly. then select right talents from the large virtual employee pool. this open talent strategy will decide each company's sustainable development.
