Recent years, online recruiting has been a major way for job seekers to apply for a job. more and more companies would like to upload their company information and new recruitment information to the online job site. therefore, online job sites are not only a job marketplace, but hide more functions….

when you open the job website, all kinds of company logos pour into your eyes. if you are interested in one of them, click the logo or title, you easily get the basic information of this company. online job sites prepare more for you. you can sort out your interested companies by industry, location, etc. if you are a sales&marketing people, market researcher, consultant, online job site can be your another information base.
Window to peep:
this function hides so deeply that you didn't pay much attention. in fact, when company publishes new vacancy information, it at least will give analyst or consultant 3 illuminations:
1) HR strategy: normally online job sites can store several months' recruitment information. some sites even longer. what's more, one company usually publishs its information on several job sites. therefore, you as an analyst or consultant can get a periodic HR activities of one company. furtherly, you can make an assumption on its HR strategy
2) company business status and focus: when you get one company's published recruitment information, look into the job description and functionality, you will know what business this company does well at current because company need to recruit more people to satisfy business expansion and support its important business strategy. if you can analyze some periodic job information, you will get more accurate hypothesis.
3) industry status: now you can collect several typical companies' information which are in the same industry. if you found all of these companies are recuiting, I think the whole industry performs very well and the market is growing in that country or region. if some are recuiting more and others not, maybe they are performing better than their rivals.
